Dollar-Cost Averaging Still Beats Timing the Top

We ran the numbers again on a weekly buy versus trying to pick entries over the last three cycles. The lump-sum timer needed to be right about the top within a two-week window to beat a mechanical weekly buy, and almost nobody is. DCA is boring and that is the point: it removes the one variable — your emotions — that does the most damage.

Set up a weekly auto-buy after reading this. Boring is exactly what I needed — I was checking charts five times a day.
